The Best Laid Plans

The key to achieving most goals (fitness in particular) is patience and consistency, but what happens when you intend to exercise and/or hit the market for fresh produce, and your plans get derailed?

Life happens, so always having a plan B (and sometimes even a plan C) is critical for keeping you on track. Prefer to workout in the mornings, but slept through your alarm today? Planning on heading to the grocery store after work, but now your boss needs to you stay late? The more flexible and creative you are about working around life’s little surprises, the faster you’ll reach your goals.

If you miss your morning workout, why not head out for a brisk walk on your lunch break, hit the gym after work, or unwind with some yoga before bed? You may not prefer the alternates as much as the morning workout, but something is ALWAYS better than nothing, and perhaps having less desirable plans in a pinch will help you stick to your plan A in the future.

Can’t embark on a full-blown grocery stock-up after being held up at work? Stop by for just the essentials on your way home or call a friend who might be able to help you out while shopping for themselves. Or, opt for a convenient produce delivery or recipe/ingredient delivery service, so you always have the essentials when you need them.

No more excuses! Being prepared with back-up plans will help you improvise in a pinch, and reach your goals faster.
