Ashley Astudillo

Certified Trainer / Instructor. Ashley is a certified personal trainer through National Federation of Professional Trainers (NFPT), and is currently working towards a postgraduate degree in Physical Therapy.

A lifelong fan of fitness herself, Ashley played on soccer teams from the early age of 5 to college. During her sophomore year of college, her then 400lb stepdad wanted to change his life, and asked her to be part of his journey. His goal was to complete a triathlon, an individual sport that pushes the body’s limits. She never thought she’d be able to complete one herself, but they trained together for a year and began to make healthier food decisions. When they crossed the finish line together, he was 200lb less, and she knew her calling was to help others pursue their fitness goals and change their lives.

PHILOSOPHY
A healthy mind is a healthy body, you can’t have one without the other.

WHAT TYPES OF CLIENTS DO YOU WORK WITH?
I love working with all clients – whether it’s strength training, weight loss, sport-specific, you name it. I love the variety, and how each body is unique! What’s important to me is working with clients that are truly wanting to increase their quality of life and do not define fitness as a number on a scale, but by what they are able to do: complete that 5th pull-up they were never able to achieve, walk up a certain number of flights without being winded, reduce/eliminate pain, or play their sport better.

WHAT MAKES YOUR TRAINING UNIQUE?
Having worked along side physical therapists for over a year and half, I’ve learned so much about the human body and what it is capable of. I love to integrate the fundamentals of movement. Focusing on increasing your mobility and stability is the foundation to achieving results and increasing the quality of life.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE BEST ABOUT YOUR JOB?
One of the best things about training clients is that they end up being MY motivation. Trainers are humans and we sometimes need that motivation in our own workouts and life. Watching them succeed is what truly drives me.
